“Are You Reckless?” campaign is a series of hard hitting video & radio ads (in English and Hindi) aimed at getting drivers to question their driving habits. Effective road safety ads are very essential for drivers in the roads to understand the consequences of reckless driving and create peer pressure in long term. Campaign Steps
This radio campaign is actually part of project divided into three sections : -
i, Content - making emotionally compelling content is essential to change attitudes of reckless drivers. After 5 months looking to record the ad, we partnered with Murdoch University Dubai to complete them in 3 languages.
ii, Spread - best content in the world would be useless if it does not reach majority of people, the most effective way to reach people we found was radio as it is very focused according to demographic groups in Dubai and we want to reach drivers while they were driving.
iii, Measure - how do we know campaign worked? After-market companies (Media Ipsos, AC Nielson) measures the effectiveness of campaign, in addition we are planning to track via social media (facebook, twitter), website traffic and testimonials.

Campaign Goals
There is a
lack of effective year round road safety campaigns in the region, we
are doing this campaign to provide methodology and highlight the
importance of effective campaigns to government and road safety
non-profits. A case study will be finally released which would be provided to
government and universities. The whole campaign was done to urge
government and road safety non-profits in the region to have full year
round campaigns and keep track of it. Long term we hope that it will spread
awareness and create peer pressure that reckless driving is not normal.
